飛行石にたぶらかされたんじゃないの？と私は憎まれ口をたたく。 だって、羽を描くのはとっても肩がこる。 おとなしく、あざらしとか、
アンコウとか、つるんとしたものになってくれたらいいのに。
地球の空を飛ぶのは大変だ。だって、強い引力に抵抗してとびあがらなけりゃならない。 まして、お前は、石、大地にどっかり腰を落ち着け、
大空をにらむ石なんだよ。 私はちょっと心配になる。大きすぎる夢を追う子供を不安げに見守る親みたいな気持ちになる。
お前が大空をはばたく日はいつくるのだろう。 新しく誕生した鷹のつぶらな瞳を覗き込みながら、声にださずにつぶやいてみた。
Here is my new stone being, just been finished emerging from the
stone. The bird is not yet full grown, but rather a very
young one, like a chick. He is very curious to what is
going on around himself. Yet, as it appears, he does not
know that he can fly, or even that he belongs to one of those
flying species! Around him, there is no stones
who even thought of flying or even jumping! for it is
considered just plain `crazy` in the normal stone world on
Earth. Why?! `Good stones are to stay on
ground!` even a little pebble knows that!?
